Plex Host Docs

Performance and your node

The Overview tab shows two views of performance. The History charts show what your server did over time. The Your node card shows the machine your server runs on and how busy it is right now.

History Charts

The History panel records a sample every minute. Times are shown in your local time zone.

ChartWhat it shows
CPUYour server's CPU use as a percent of your plan's vCPUs. The label reads "of your N vCPU". 100% means every vCPU in your plan is fully in use.
MemoryMemory use in GiB, with your plan's memory size shown next to the title.
PlayersPlayers online. Appears only when the server reports player counts.
TPSMinecraft only. Ticks per second on a 0 to 20 scale. 20 is full speed.

Ranges

Choose 1h, 24h, or 7d above the charts. The dashboard remembers your last choice on this device.

RangeResolution
1hEvery minute
24h5-minute averages
7dHourly averages

Per-minute readings are kept for 7 days and hourly averages for 90 days, so the 7-day range covers a full week. Older data is not shown.

Gaps

A line breaks where no reading was recorded. A gap means the dashboard has no data for that time, for example while the server was stopped.

Your Node Card

The Your node card appears beside the charts when the host has chosen to share hardware facts about the node. If the host has not shared them, the card is not shown.

The card describes the node, not your server. Your own usage is on the live tiles at the top of the Overview.

RowWhat it means
CPUThe processor model and base clock speed of the node.
Plex single-thread indexHow fast one CPU core on this node is, compared with the median of all Plex nodes. 1.2× fleet median means a core is about 20% faster than the typical node. Shows "not measured yet" until the node has been benchmarked.
Node load nowHow busy the whole node is, as a percent, labeled Light load, Moderate load, or Heavy load.
Memory headroomMemory free on the node, in GiB.
NeighboursHow many other servers share this node.
RegionWhere the node is located.

The card also shows when the node was last measured.

Reading the Numbers

Node load is shared. Node load counts every server on the machine, not just yours. When it reads Heavy, your server can slow down even if your own CPU chart looks fine. Your server's CPU and memory charts show whether it is reaching its own limit.

Upgrade the plan when your own charts are at the limit. If your CPU chart sits near 100% of your vCPUs, or memory is close to your plan's size, a larger plan gives your server more room. See Plans.

Check the node when your charts are low. If your own charts stay well below your limits but the server still lags while node load is Heavy, the limit is the node, not your plan. Contact support in that case.

Minecraft TPS

TPS measures how fast the server processes game ticks. The TPS chart appears only for Minecraft servers that report tick data, and tick data comes from the Plex plugin.

The dashboard does not offer a plugin install step yet. Until it does, the TPS panel shows "Tick data needs the Plex plugin" in place of the chart. Tick data is coming with the plugin.

Troubleshooting

Charts are empty right after deploy

History appears after the first minute of samples. Wait a couple of minutes, then reload the page. The charts fill in as the server reports CPU, memory, and players.

The TPS card is missing for Palworld

TPS is a Minecraft measure. The TPS card is not shown for Palworld or other games that do not report a tick rate. This is expected.
